Amarone della Valpolicella D.O.C.G. Classico
Area of cultivation
Unique vineyard sited at the top of the hill of the district Marano in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico region. Its name “Postera” in local dialect refers to it being exposed to the sun all day.
Grape varieties
Corvina and Corvinone 70% - Rondinella 20% - Croatina, Oseleta 10%. Harvest carefully selected by hand for the process of drying that lasts on average 3 months.
Wine-making
Gentle crushing, followed by a maceration on the skins and a slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 40 - 60 days.
Aging
In French barrique and tonneaux for about 18 months and afterwards in stainless steel tanks. Aging in the bottle varies from 6 to 12 months.
Colour
Intense ruby red.

Roasts, grilled meats, game and aged cheeses.
Serving temperature
16°/18° C. Allowing the wine to breath an hour before serving is recommended.
